Village Farm Swim is a private hire swimming pool in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside. Set on a family farm, you can come and hire our pool for your own private use.

About Our Pool

Our family pool has provided joy and delight for many years and now we are offering you a chance to hire it for yourself and enjoy it too. Adapted over the years it is a covered outdoor pool so even if it’s raining you can still enjoy the pool. It is heated to approximately 28°C and is large for a private pool at 14m x 6m.

The shallow end is 0.9m deep and at its deepest point it is 1.5m deep. The edges are slightly sloped. To access there is a ladder at the shallow end with two handrails.

We use chlorine to maintain adequate hygiene levels and this is checked on a daily basis.

The pool is located in a private enclosure with no external views into the pool. The walls are half height blocks topped with opaque perspex up to the roof making it light and airy.

The air temperature will vary based on the weather outside and will feel cooler on cold and cloudy days. On sunny, warm days it heats up well and there are doors you can open to allow for increased ventilation.

There are benches for spectators to sit and watch the action if some don’t fancy getting their feet wet.

The Changing Rooms

We have two changing rooms. Each has a large open changing space with benches, hooks and some non-slip matting on the floor, an open cubicle with an electric shower and a toilet with hand basin.

For larger groups you could split the changing rooms into male and female or use it for different family groups.

There is a lobby with shelves to leave shoes before entering the changing area.

Our Prices

Village Farm Swim is for exclusive hire in 50 min sessions, so you can rest assured that you will have sole use of the pool and changing rooms in complete privacy. Your 50 mins includes changing time so why don’t you come ‘pool ready’ to make the most of your time. Please have vacated the changing rooms by ten to ready for the next group.

We charge £30 per session for groups of 10 or less and £50 per session for groups of 11 or more.

The maximum capacity of swimmers is 25, this does not include spectators.

If you’re a solo swimmer why not consider our Village Farm Swim membership for £25 per month. You can book as many ‘member swims’ as you like in the month. Member swimming is only available 7-11am weekdays and 7-9pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and 7am-9am on weekends. Up to 6 members can swim during each session.

The Village Farm Swim pool DOES NOT have a lifeguard present and you swim at your own risk, therefore a minimum of 2 people is advised but not compulsory.

Please see the below ratio guidelines for swimming with children:

  • Children aged 0-4: 1 adult swimmer to 1 child
  • Children aged 4-8: 1 adult swimmer to 2 children
  • Children aged 8-12: 1 adult in the water or poolside to 5 children (as long as the children are competent swimmers, capable of managing themselves in the water)
  • Children aged 12-16 must have an adult present, either in the water or poolside.

The Eco Friendly Way to Swim

Village Farm Swim is committed to looking after the environment and ensuring the countryside is here to enjoy for generations to come. That is why our pool is heated entirely by renewable energy, produced on the farm, from our own wind turbines and solar panels powering our air source heaters. New for 2026 is a second air source heater to help keep the pool up to temperature while providing some dehumidification to the air. With Village Farm Swim you can swim in the pool knowing that it hasn’t contributed to your carbon footprint.

Location

You can find us in the rural village of Hungarton on the east side of Leicester. Village Farm Swim is a convenient location for those in Leicester, Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough or Rutland.

There is parking space for 3 cars. If more than 3 spaces are needed there is additional parking on the yard.

Please note Village Farm Swim is located on a working farm and so we need access for tractors, lorries and other large machinery so only park in the designated spaces.

The Farm

Village Farm is a delightful dairy farm which is now in its fourth generation of the Dixon family, you’ll see us out and about looking after the cows and driving tractors round the yard. We’re a friendly bunch so do say hi and give us a wave (sometimes our tractors sound their horn back).

In 2025 we removed the old milking parlour and installed Milking Robots, these allow the cows to be milked as and when they want to, improving animal welfare. You can see them in action through our large viewing windows.

Most of our milk goes to local business, Long Clawston Cheese and is made into high quality Stilton, but we keep a little back for our very own pasturiser so that you can try some of our milk and milkshakes from the Village Farm Dairy Shop. We add nothing and take nothing away so you can enjoy the real cream on the top of our milk, we simply heat it up and cool it down to make sure its safe for all to drink.

FAQs

Can we have a birthday party?

Yes, Village Farm Swim is a great place for a swimming party, we can accommodate up to 25 people in the pool plus spectators. You can make as much noise as you like, so bring your inflatables and have a blast!

Is there somewhere we could have cake after a swimming party?

No, sorry we haven’t got any space on the farm to host a party but if you’d like to, you can book the Hungarton Village Hall 2 mins down the road. It’s £10 per hour. And is a great space for hosting a party.

What about privacy? Is there CCTV?

No, we don’t have CCTV in the pool or the changing rooms. There is extensive CCTV on the farm grounds and parking areas outside. So you can swim confident that you are in complete privacy. Perfect for groups of women who may want to swim without any males present.

Is there a lifeguard?

No, this pool is not lifeguarded. There is also no CCTV monitoring if you were to get into difficulty in the water so please have a mobile phone for emergencies.

I am a company that would like to use your pool for a third party activity, is that allowed?

Probably, get in touch and we can have a chat about what it is and if our pool is suitable.

Is the swimming pool heated?

Yes, we aim to keep our pool around 28oC. However, it is a covered outdoor pool so the air temperature will vary depending on the outside temperature. We have heaters in the changing rooms for use in the cooler months.

Can I bring toys/inflatables?

Yes, we’d love you to have lots of fun in the water so feel free to use any of the toys and floats we have (our tractor inner tube is a particular favourite). Or bring your own, just please make sure that it doesn’t have any sharp bits that could rip or tear the lining of our pool.

How does the membership work?

Once you buy a membership you will have access to book onto ‘member only’ group swimming session. These are available 7-11am weekdays, 7-9pm Tues-Thurs and 7-9am on weekends Up to 6 members can book each session but often there’s only 1 or 2. You’ll need to be logged into the website for it to recognise you as a member and show you the Member Only swim slots to book. The membership will automatically renew on the same day each month and you are free to cancel any time.

Do you allow dogs?

Unfortunately we can’t have dogs in the pool but yes they can certainly be poolside and watch the fun.
